The Rebirth of William’s London

Millions of people living under poor conditions led to the demise of early London when filth helped spread the Black Death during the middle 1300s and again during the plague of 1665. But where the plagues didn’t reach, a fire did. A huge fire in old London in 1666 destroyed most of the slums. London was rebuilt and maintained until World War II when it suffered incredible damage from bombing. But London rebuilt again and today’s London is still a beautiful and charming city, highly recommended as a travel destination.
