The Royals Borrow From the Merchants But Thank the Romans

Royals borrowed from wealthy English wool merchants during the 1600s but many experts believe Romans were the importers of the famous “Cotswold Lion”. This sheep had such a nice fleece it weighed twenty-eight pounds. By 1678, the Cotswold’s wool industry had suffered so badly the famous “Cotswold Lion”, almost died out. Today there are shepherds who are breeding and keeping this wonderful breed alive. A visit to the Cotswolds is not to be missed if one tours the English Countryside.
