The English Gypsies call themselves “Romany”, never Gypsy. Probably the most typical example of a Gypsy is found amongst the Spanish, “Gitanos”. They love music. They sing and dance the flamenco, play the violin and especially the accordion. Quite notable for their nomadic nature, even today the silhouettes of Gypsy caravans can be seen against the setting sun in the picturesque fields of French farms.
