Ireland, Scotland… What’s the Difference?

There are many stories about the origins of the Celtic Irish, including the story that Eastern European Celts went through Egypt and Spain before arriving in Ireland. During their travels, one of the Celtic chieftains fell in love with the Egyptian princess Scotia. Therefore, for centuries, the Celtic Irish were Scots and their island was called Scotia. Some Scots settled in Caledonia so part of it became Scotland (or Scotia). Therefore, Ireland ceased using the name Scotia.
